In the heart of Copenhagen
Hotel SKT. Annæ has a perfect and central location in the pulsing heart of Copenhagen, near the cozy Nyhavn area (New Harbor).
This water passage is from the 17th century, and was an area where the sailors came to have fun. Today it is still a popular and lively area, where many small cafes and restaurants are placed side by side in the unique, picturesque and colorful houses along the quayside.
The hotel has a lot of prominent neighbors. To name a few are the Royal Palace Amalienborg, the Royal Theater, the citadel of Frederiksstaden and The Little Mermaid. Besides that, you will find yourself at the main shopping street, Strøget, only a hundred meters walk from the hotel’s doorstep.
From Kongens Nytorv the metro runs every other minute, and a lot of the central bus routes and bus stops are close by.

SANKT ANNÆ PLADS
Hotel SKT. Annæ is located in the historical citadel of Frederiksstad, which is the area around The Royal Palace, Amalienborg. The hotel have been named after its residential street, Sankt Annæ Plads. The plaza consists of two one way streets with a green oasis in the middle. The whole plaza is newly renovated with playgrounds, petanque, flower beds and benches. Even though your are in the busy city center of Copenhagen, this green wedge is a peaceful space.
The street entrance at Bredgade is marked by a bronze statue of King Christian X. He was the king of Denmark from 1912 until his death in 1947. This monument was established to honor his leadership and bringing the Danish people together during World War II.
At the other end of the street, the plaza opens up to a wooden bridge and Copenhagen Harbor. Here you can enjoy the view to the Opera House, the small inner harbor’s bridges and the Play House. In the Summer time, lots of cultural events are taking place here and there is a breath of life, warmth and happy atmosphere. The Winter is not boring either. Among other things, you can experience saunas, hot tubs and winter bathing.
