Swimming Spots in Copenhagen

When summer hits Copenhagen, everyone heads to the water. Much of the city is surrounded by water, but unfortunately, not all places are suitable for swimming. Therefore, look for areas with swimming zones, which can be recognized by yellow markers in the water. Here we have gathered our best recommendations.

Kalvebod Bølge

Along the harbor promenade, you will find Kalvebod Bølge, which has a swimming zone, kayak rentals, and opportunities for outdoor training.

Kastrup Sea Bath

If you like being in deep water, take the metro to Kastrup and find the striking Kastrup Sea Bath. The sea bath is extended 100 meters out into the water, and you can safely dive in from here.

Bellevue

To get sand between your toes, you need to go a bit out of the city. For that, we recommend a trip to Klampenborg, where you will find the artificially constructed Bellevue Beach, designed by the Danish architect Arne Jacobsen.
